Steve Stricker won the John Deere Classic for the third consecutive year in 2011, so it should come as no surprise that he's the 7/1 favorite on the Las Vegas PGA Golf Odds at Bovada Sportsbook to win the event at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois once again this week.
After rolling to the win in the John Deere Classic in both 2009 and 2010 Stricker topped Kyle Stanley by one stroke last year to win his third consecutive title at the event. Zach Johnson and Matt McQuillan tied for third at that tourney, finishing five strokes behind.
Nick Watney then sits at 20/1 to win the event, with both Jonathan Byrd and Ryan Palmer at 25/1, and each of Brendon De Jonge, Jeff Overton, Seung-yul Noh and Tim Clark at 33/1. Byrd won the 2007 John Deere Classic title by a single stroke over Clark.
John Senden, the 2006 John Deere Classic winner, is back at 40/1 for this week, with 2005 champion Sean O'Hair at 40/1 as well. Carl Pettersson, Ryan Moore and Charles Howell III are among the other golfers pegged at 40/1 on that odds list.
On the head-to-head props for this week Stricker is the -135 favorite in his matchup with Johnson (+105) at Bovada Sportsbook, while Johnson is favored at -130 to finish ahead of Watney (EVEN). Watney is then a -125 favorite in his head-to-head prop against Palmer (-105).
