Vegas Odds & Free MLB Predictions: Cleveland Indians vs San Francisco Giants

Indians: 47-43 (26-19 V)
Giants: 35-58 (17-24 H)
When: 10:15 PM ET, Monday, July 17, 2017
Where: AT&T Park, San Francisco, California

The reeling Cleveland Indians will attempt to rekindle with their winning form as they get ready to meet the San Francisco Giants in a rare interleague meeting with the three-game series set to begin Monday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco. The two clubs will face one another for the first time since 2014.

The Giants swept the Indians back then and haven’t lost to Cleveland in their last six games. This year’s Giants squad is far more different than the one that produced a World Series Championship back in 2014 as San Francisco enters this contest having lost six of its last seven games. They occupy the basement of the NL West 29 games behind the LA Dodgers.

The Indians couldn’t have started the second half of the season in the worst way. Playing their last three games just across the bay, the Indians lost those three games to Oakland which was their first sweep at the hands of the A’s dating back to May 2014. The Indians are still ahead in the AL Central standings 2 games in front of Minnesota.

RH Josh Tomlin (5-9, 5.90 ERA) will look for back-to-back wins as he gets the call for the Indians while LH Matt Moore (3-9, 6.04 ERA) will attempt to rebound from a subpar performance as he takes the hill in the series’ opener for the Giants.

Tomlin had been in a deep rut before his last outing in a four-game sequence in which he allowed four or more runs with eight homeruns without ever reaching the sixth inning. The 32-year old rebounded with a win where he yielded two runs on four hits in seven innings for his fifth victory of the season against the San Diego Padres back on July 6. The Texan will face the Giants for the first time in career.

Moore has been a huge deception since being acquired by Tampa Bay a year ago as the 28-year old has gone 9-14 with a 5.06 ERA in 30 starts since leaving Florida. Moore has produced just one quality start in his last seven outings and his last trip to the mound was not one of them. Moore allowed 5 runs on a season-high 12 hits in 3 1/3 innings in a 6-1 loss to Miami back on July 7. The Floridian is 2-1 with a 3.81 ERA in 6-career starts against the Indians.

Mybookie Sportsbook has the Indians favorites at 130-moneyline with the total sitting at 8½.

MLB Runline Odds at BetOnline the Indians were favored by -1½ (+130)
