UFC on Fox 4 Las Vegas Odds: Lyoto Machida vs Ryan Bader

Bader will look to beat underdog odds for the second fight in row, as he's coming off an upset unanimous decision win over Quinton Jackson at UFC 144. This time he’s an even bigger dog against Machida, as he's currently being offered at +250 at Bovada Sportsbook. Machida is expected to be a fighting-style nightmare for Bader, who will somehow have to find a way to get The Dragon on the mat and keep him there.
Machida is coming off a devastating beating at the hands of the current UFC Light Heavyweight champ Jon Jones at UFC 140 and he has gone 1-3 in his last four fights. Despite his recent record, Machida is a heavy -325 favorite at Bovada Sportsbook and is expected to use his distance strikes to wear down his opponent for either a KO or a decision win.
Initially handicapped at -300, action on Machida has raised the price up to the current line of -325. His elusive style will likely give Bader big problems - as long as he stays out of the way of Bader’s power shots and doesn’t get taken to the ground.
Bader has a chance to land a heavy shot or outwrestle Machida for the win, but he will have to get his hands on him to do it. He will have to be wary of a striking style that he has never seen before, and let’s not forget how Tito Ortiz showed us how his chin is questionable when a punch lands in the right spot.
