The Seattle Seahawks won one of the most entertaining games of the year on Monday Night Football last week. The Bills got off to a hot start against one of the league’s best defences and led 14-7 after the first quarter.

Seattle roared back in the second outscoring Buffalo 21-3 for the 28-17 lead. The quarter also included controversy where Bills kicker Dan Carpenter was taken down by Hawks CB Richard Sherman and that should have been unnecessary roughing. It was followed up by a delay of game penalty after the refs didn’t restart the game clock. As such a chip shot became a 54 yarder that Carpenter ended up missing.

Those three points meant a lot at the end of the game with Buffalo six points down pressing for the tie on the Seahawks eight yard line. Instead of a late field goal to tie, they needed the touchdown to win and a great game by Tyrod Taylor went for naught when he failed to get it into the endzone.

Seattle won their eleventh straight Monday Night Football game and now have to travel across the country to face a Patriots team coming off their bye in a Super Bowl rematch from two years ago.

New England with Tom Brady back at the helm for four weeks have been the best team in football. They were already pretty great in the four games he missed, but then Brady came back to complete 73% of his passes and throw 12 TDs and no interceptions which adds up to 133.9 QB rating.

Three of the four games were on the road including wins at Pittsburgh and Buffalo.

But this should be their toughest test of the year with TE Jimmy Graham fully in his comfort zone in Seattle one and a half years after coming over in the big trade from the Saints.

He has a 38-545-3 stat line and took over last week with a 8-103-2 game. It was his third game surpassing 100 yards on the year. Doug Baldwin has also been solid with a 44-570-2 season.

Russell Wilson has been playing injured all year, but he looked to be back in top form last week. The Seahawks are also expected to have Kam Chancellor back at safety after he missed four games.

Once the identity of this team, the running game is a shambles in the first year post-Marshawn Lynch. Christine Michael has been getting the lion’s share of the work and he’s had just one game rushing for more than 66 yards. Now he’s questionable with a hamstring injury and that may open the door for rookie C.J. Prosise to get his first career start. He has just nine rushes for 30 yards so far.

Seattle is 23rd in scoring with 20.3 PPG and 26th with 332.1 YPG.

The defence is third allowing 16.8 PPG and ninth giving up 332. YPG.

The Patriots are second allowing 16.5 PPG and 15th giving up 354.1 YPG.

The offence is seventh averaging 380.3 YPG and sixth scoring 27.1. With Brady in the lineup those numbers read 414.3 and 34 PPG.

Bovada has the Patriots listed as 8-points favorites and the game's total is sitting at 48½ according to MyBookie.

On the NFL Football Moneyline Odds at BetOnline Patriots are the Favorite at -330.
