NCAA Football Las Vegas Odds: Louisville Cardinals Favorites in Big East

With West Virginia having defected to the Big 12 Conference it's the Louisville Cardinals who have been pegged as the favorites at Bovada Sportsbook to win the Big East Conference title this season as college football's regular-season schedule prepares to get underway.

The Mountaineers claimed top spot in the Big East and the conference's BCS berth last season, winning the tiebreakers after finishing conference play with the same 5-2 mark as both Louisville (7-6 overall) and Cincinnati (10-3 overall).

For this season, however, West Virginia is gone, and Louisville is listed as the 2/1 favorite on the NCAA Football Las Vegas Odds at Bovada Sportsbook to win the Big East. The Cardinals finished first in the 2012 Big East Preseason Poll, getting 24 of the 28 first-place votes.

Finishing second in that poll with the other four first-place votes was South Florida, which is at 7/2 odds to win the Big East this season. The Bulls will be looking to rebound from last year's 5-7 campaign in which they won only one of seven games against Big East teams.

Rutgers and Cincinnati finished third and fourth in that poll, and they're at 11/2 and 4/1 odds, respectively, to win the Big East this season, followed by Pittsburgh at 13/2. The Scarlet Knights went 4-3 in the Big East and 9-4 overall last season, while the Panthers were 4-3 in the Big East but just 6-7 overall.

Connecticut (25/1), Syracuse (25/1), and Temple (30/1) round out the Big East title odds as the longshots at Bovada Sportsbook.

On the overall BCS Championship odds at Bovada Sportsbook you have to scroll down a long way to find the first Big East teams, with both Louisville and Cincinnati pegged at 300/1 odds to claim the national title this season. South Florida is at 350/1, with Pittsburgh at 500/1.
