NBA Championship Las Vegas Odds & Free NBA Picks: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Golden State Warriors

Warriors: 3-1 (2-0 H)

Here we go again right? Not if the Golden State Warriors have anything to say about it but here they are yet again in an unnerving situation much like they were a year ago. Is it too early to sound the alarm for the Warriors? Not yet! They are still very much in command of this series and just maybe, we are simply overreacting.

They will get the chance to prove that they are the best at what they do when they resume hostilities against the never-say-die Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals which transports itself to California with the tip-off set to befall Monday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Golden State was denied a place in NBA history after losing its first postseason game on Friday. Remember that?

They almost swept their opponents, who were not the minnows of the league, in what would have been four straight playoff series’ wins. They have won 15 straight which is best in history by 3 games and yet we still have doubts because of last year’s debacle. The Warriors won 73 games last season which again is best in NBA history but had already lost six games in the postseason before their demise in the Finals.

Let us not kid ourselves. As dominant the Cavaliers were in Game 4, they also stunk up the joint in the first three games of these Finals and for them to keep that level of intensity they displayed on Friday would be illusory. The Warriors have not lost four games in a row in their last 269 regular season games and it has never happened in the playoffs in franchise history.

The Cavaliers accomplished what they meant to accomplish which was avoiding being swept and deny the Warriors of an unblemished record in the postseason. Now that the catharsis has been lifted from their heavy shoulders, the Cavaliers are just not on the same level as the Warriors talent wise and even though they will cover the numbers tonight, look for the Warriors to be crown NBA Champions on home soil Monday night.

Bovada has the Warriors listed as 9-point favorites and the game's total is sitting at 230½ according to MyBookie.ag
