Michael Phelps Las Vegas Odds to Win Swimming Men 100m Butterfly

Michael Phelps has now won more Olympic medals than any other athlete in the history of the Games, and he'll get a chance to add to his career haul as he hits the pool once again in London as the favorite to win the men's 100m butterfly.

The heats and semifinals for the men's 100m butterfly will be raced on Thursday, with the final then set for Friday. Phelps is pegged as the 4/9 favorite on the Swimming Men 100m Butterfly Las Vegas Odds at Bovada Sportsbook to claim the gold medal in Friday's race.

Phelps won gold in this race in Beijing in 2008, and he also finished in first place at the event at the 2011 FINA World Championships. American Missy Franklin is the 1/3 favorite to earn a gold medal in the women's 200m backstroke on Friday; Franklin already claimed gold in the 100m backstroke in London, and she won the 200m backstroke at the 2011 World Championships.

Belinda Hocking of Australia, who finished second behind Franklin in this race in 2011, is tied with Russia's Anastasia Zueva at 5/1 on the odds to win the women's 200 backstroke.

Finally, Great Britain's Rebecca Adlington is the 4/9 favorite to get a gold medal in the women's 800m freestyle on Friday, and she won this race both in Beijing in 2008 and at last year's World Championships. Lotte Friis of Denmark, who was second at that 2011 swim meet and third in Beijing, is Adlington's closest competitor on the odds at 2/1.
