Houston has the distinction of having the best record in the Major Leagues and is 7-3 in their last ten heading into Tuesday’s games – tied for best in the AL over that stretch.

They were beyond impressive in Monday’s 16-8 win, scoring 14 runs over the final two innings for the huge comeback win.

Minnesota was one game up on Cleveland for first in the AL Central heading into Tuesday’s games, winning five of their last eight.

While Houston leads the AL in both runs scored and allowed in the month of May, Minnesota has been below average in each as they simply find ways to win more often than not.

David Paulino (0-1, 5.14 ERA) gets his first start of the year and just his second career major league start for Houston. He’s struggled in 14 AAA innings this year with a 4.50 ERA and 11 hits allowed. Last time out he allowed four earned runs in five innings of work.

Hector Santiago (4-4, 4.31 ERA) had a terrific beginning to the season through six starts. But his ERA has risen from 2.76 on May 9th to it’s current level after giving up 14 runs in 14 innings of work. He came out of the bullpen for one inning on May 28th and allowed two runs versus the Rays.

Two uneven pitchers should mean the offensive floodgates will be open and that matchup certainly favors the Astros.

Mybookie Sportsbook has the Astros favorites at 135-moneyline with the total sitting at 10.
