The reason for the excitement is Game Chat, a facility that allows Sports Interaction members to chat to each other in real time on the website. For the past year, Sports Interaction users have been able to post their thoughts using the Bet Opinions facility, and now the book has gone one step further.
“It’s a technology developed in-house that allows users to do just what the name says – chat during the game,” says Manning. “It combines the convenience of instant messenger technology and the community aspect of traditional internet forums. We’re very exited about it, and very proud of it as a product.”
The technology is going live at just the right time – the start of the football season is traditionally the busiest time of year in the online gambling industry.
