The Story
The Pittsburgh Steelers will attempt to win at least ten games for the season for the third consecutive year as they prepare to meet the Baltimore Ravens in a huge divisional matchup set to kick off Sunday afternoon at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. A win here for the Steelers will put them in the playoffs as the AFC north title holder. For the Ravens, they need to win out and the division is theirs. The loser of this pivotal game will need to win next week and get some help from other teams to get in the playoffs.

The Ravens will look to sweep the season series between the divisional rivals and will try to replicate what they did in Week 9 which is to silence Pittsburgh’s high octane offense. The Ravens held the Steelers offense to just 277 total yards and just 36 on the ground in 21-14 victory back on November 6. The Ravens didn’t produce much on offense either with 274 total yards but did capitalize on opportunistic plays. Joe Flacco connected with WR Mike Wallace on a 95-yard pass play late in the first quarter, then turned an interception into a field goal and returned a blocked punt early in fourth quarter for a touchdown.

The Ravens have won three of their last four games only losing to the mighty Patriots during that stretch. They held on for dear life last week against Philadelphia when they negated a 2-point conversion with 4 ticks on the clock in a 27-26 victory over the Eagles. Flacco wasn’t at his best against a pretty good Eagles defense as he had season-lows in yards with 206 and completion percentage with 53.3% but did throw two touchdowns passes.

After losing four games in a row, the Steelers righted the ship in grand fashion recording five straight victories since then. The Steelers were down by as much as 14 points in their clash against the Bengals last week but scored 18 unanswered points to escape with 24-20 win in Cincinnati. Kicker Chris Boswell’s right foot was on full display as he nailed six field goals to tie a club record. Ben Roethlisberger went 21 for 36 for 286 yards and a touchdown while RB Le’Veon Bell rushed for 93 yards on 23 carries.

The Ravens have won four in row and six of their last seven games against the Steelers. Pittsburgh has covered the spread in its last five games as favorites while Baltimore is 1-4 in its last five as underdogs.

Bovada has the Steelers listed as 6-points favorites and the game's total is sitting at 44½ according to MyBookie.

On the NFL Football Odds at BetOnline Steelers are the Favorite at -250.
