2012 NFL Football Exhibition Las Vegas Odds: Quarterbacks in the Spotlight

Quarterbacks will be in the spotlight as the National Football League launches its first full slate of 2012 NFL Football Exhibition Las Vegas Odds this week, even if the pivots most fans are interested in watching see limited playing time. And that includes one veteran and two vaunted rookies.

The top two picks in the 2012 NFL Draft were both quarterbacks, and Andrew Luck of the Indianapolis Colts and Robert Griffin III of the Washington Redskins are both expected to be in charge of their team's offense this season.

Robert Griffin III and his Redskins will get the first week of the NFL's preseason started on Thursday night, with a 7 p.m. ET road game in Buffalo against the Bills. Washington has been pegged as a rare preseason road favorite for the contest, as they are 2-point chalk against the Bills for Thursday.

Luck and the Colts will have to wait until Sunday to hit the gridiron, and they'll be at home to face the St. Louis Rams in a 1:30 p.m. ET kickoff. Indianapolis managed to win just two games last season, covering the spread in six of their 16 contests for NFL bettors.

Two other quarterbacks went in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, with the Miami Dolphins taking Ryan Tannehill and the Cleveland Browns selecting Brandon Weeden. The Browns have already named Weeden their starting QB for Week 1, while Tannehill will have to outplay some veterans to earn that same gig with the Dolphins.

And in Chicago the focus will be on new Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, who will begin his comeback from the neck injury that cost him all of last season with the Colts. The Bears are pegged as 3-point home favorites for the game, which is set for 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
